Maoist posters urging people to boycott poll surface in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: After a few days lull, Maoist posters urging people to boycott the upcoming poll resurfaced in Chitrakonda area of Malkangiri district today.

The Red posters released in the name of Odisha State Committee of outlawed CPI (Maoist) group categorically blamed government for the failure of various development projects meant for tribal people in the area and appealed locals to join the Maoist movement.

Police reached the spot to seize the posters and start investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, similar posters and banners were also seen in Raighar block of Nabarangpur district today with anti-election messages.

People are in a state of panic in both the states over the incident.
