Phulbani: The outlawed CPI (Maoist) group has extended its support to the agitating farmers of Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan by putting up posters and banners at various places in Khajurigaon village under Gochhapada police limits in Kandhamal district today.

The banners and posters which were spotted by some locals in the morning were found hung and stuck to roadside trees with clear message to the government to stop its alleged anti-farmer policies.

The Maoists through their posters also appealed the State Government to immediately release the farmers taken into custody during the ‘Jan Satyagraha Padyatra’ recently.

The Red rebels have demanded declaration of agriculture as an industry, an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for each farmer who committed suicide, free water and electricity for farmers, fair price for agricultural produce among others.
