Maoist posters calling for poll boycott surface in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Unleashing Red fear in Malkangiri district ahead of the upcoming election, Maoist posters and banners giving call for a poll boycott surfaced in Mathilil area today.

The posters released in the name of Darabha Division of outlawed CPI (Maoist) group were spotted by some locals in the morning. They immediately called up police and informed the matter.

Hung from the trees, the Red posters dubbed the candidates in the race for Lok Sabha and Assembly seats as traitors and appealed people to not pay heed to their promises.

“They visit the constituencies only for votes and then forget to keep their promises and never return again. Don’t vote them and stay away from the election,” the Maoist posters mentioned.

Police have seized the posters after reaching the spot and started investigation into the incident.
