Cuttack: Mystery shrouds the death of a man whose body was found near Sani mandap at Pathapur Patana Sahi under Banki police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Gundicha Nayak of Pathuripada village in the same locality.
Nayak was found lying in a pool of blood, bearing injuring marks on chin and at the back of head. He was rushed to the Banki Sub-Divisional Hospital by the locals but the doctor declared him brought dead.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and started investigation.
It is still not clear whether the victim was killed near the mandap or the body was dumped there, official said.
