Bhubaneswar: Another video of the accused and former I&PR Director, Niranjan Sethi, has been doing rounds on the internet where he is shooting some scenes of a short movie by the prime accused Sarmishtha Rout.
Reportedly, the shooting was held on Puri sea beach earlier this year.
Notably, the post mortem report of Cameraman Manas Swain has been released today from S.C.B. Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. According to the post mortem report, three bones of Manas swain’s rib cage were broken. He was beaten with an iron rod.
Manas had also suffered a spinal cord injury and he was bleeding extensively for a long period of time. As a result, Manas died due to excessive bleeding.
It is pertinent to mention that on the first day of interrogation on Tuesday, the crime branch team conducted a seven-hour marathon interrogation. The remand period will end on April 5, 2022.
A memory card containing the alleged controversial videos and photos of the prime accused persons was in possession of Swain.
Sarmistha Rout and Jhuna Bhoi were arrested by the joint teams of Bhadrak Police and Crime Branch from the Nalanga area of Bhadrak district earlier today. Both of them were produced before the Court of JMFC Chandbali later.
Besides, Sethi was arrested on March 21 as the evidence that was collected proved the involvement of the officer in this murder case. He was said to be the mastermind behind the crime.
