Manas Sahoo creates beautiful sand sculpture on Constitution DayPuri: In a bid to create awareness among the people on the importance of respecting and following the rules and regulation of the Constitution of India, internationally acclaimed sand artist Manas Sahoo created a beautiful sand sculpture at Puri sea beach on the occasion of the Constitution Day on Sunday.

Sahoo used 20 tons of sand to create the 15-feet long sand sculpture titled ‘Respect our Constitution’. It has a Tricolour, Constitution of India book, State Emblem of India, Parliament building and a scale.

“We have created the sand sculpture to urge the people to respect the Constitution of the country on the occasion of Samvidhan Diwas.  We should respect our Constitution as we love our country. There should be a good Constitution to have brotherhood and peaceful life in the society and fortunately, we have the largest Constitution of the world. Therefore, we should love, respect and follow our Constitution and create a better and peaceful society to live,” said the sand artist while speaking exclusively to KalingaTV.

Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India on November 26 every year to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India. On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.

The Government of India declared 26 November as Constitution Day on 19 November 2015 by a gazette notification
