Dhenakanal: In yet another tragic incident, a 55-year-old man was crushed to death by a wild elephant at Kadalipala village in Dhenkanal’s Kamakhyanagar on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Gouranga Pallai. As per reports, he was attacked by the tusker while he had gone to the backyard of his house. Pallai was tossed and later crushed to death by the elephant.
Following the incident, angry locals have staged road blockade alleging inaction of the Forest officials in tackling the elephant menace in the area.
