Keonjhar: A 50-year-old man was allegedly stoned to death in Ranipada forest under Harichandanpur police limits of the district.
The deceased person has been identified as Kirtan Dehuri. He was killed while he was returning home from the weekly market of Badapalasapala.
While the exact reason behind the crime is yet to be known, it is suspected that Dehuri has been killed over a past enmity.
Based on the allegation of the family members of deceased Dehuri, local police reached the spot and seized the body. It sent the mortal remains to the District Headquarter Hospital for postmortem.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
