Cuttack: A man stabbed his sister-in-law (brother’s wife) following a land dispute in Pahanaga village under Niali police limits in the district last night.
The victim identified as Kadambini Barik has been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in critical condition following the attack.
As per the report, a verbal duel erupted between Kadambini and his brother-in-law Ganesh Barik at around 10.30 pm last night over a long running land dispute. Later, in a fit of rage Ganesh took out a sharp weapon and stabbed the victim before going at large.
Family members rushed the victim in a critical condition to Niali Community Health Centre (CHC) immediately and then shifted to SCB Medical for better treatment.
Niali Police have has lodged a case in connection with the incident and started investigation.
