Cuttack: A man was stabbed to death by a miscreant over past enmity in Alamchand Bazar here last night.
The deceased has been identified as Kartik Barik, a local resident.
As per the report, Kartik had been to a shop located near his home last night when the accused identified as Nanda of the same locality attacked him with a sharp knife and fled.
Critically injured Kartik was rushed to City Hospital by some locals immediately and later shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack for better treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have lodged a case in connection with the case after sending the body for autopsy.
Kartik was having a long-standing enmity with Nanda which took shape of the murder, said police. Efforts are underway to nab the accused, they added.
