Man shot at over past enmity in Odisha, admitted to SCB Hospital

Cuttack: A native of Batagaon village was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital here after sustaining severe bullet injury on his left thigh.

Gangadhar Bhoi of Batagaon village sustained bullet injury after few unidentified miscreants fired two rounds of bullets at him near Kathapola on Puri-Bhubaneswar route early this morning. Bhoi was on his way to a brick kiln when the firing took place.

Gangadhar was initially admitted to Puri District Headquarters Hospital and later shifted to Cuttack Hospital as his condition deteriorated.

Though the exact cause of the firing is yet to be ascertained, police assumed it to be a case of past enmity. An investigation has been initiated into the incident.
