Jajpur: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly raped a five-year-old girl on the pretext of giving her chocolate in Jajpur Police station limits.
One Prafulla Panda allegedly raped the minor girl on the pretext of giving chocolate while she was standing alone on the veranda of her house yesterday evening. However, the girl raised an alarm, following which Panda fled from the spot.

Later, the girl was admitted at the District Headquarter Hospital in a critical condition for treatment.
On the other hand, police arrested the accused based on the complaint filed by the girl’s family members. He was forwarded to the court after going through a medical examination.
