Man killed, wife injured in bomb hurling in Mayurbhanj village

Rairangpur: At least one person was killed and his wife sustained grievous injury last night after some unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at a house in Dumuria village under Jamda police limits in Mayurbhanj district over suspected past enmity.

The deceased has been identified as Badha Baske, a driver by profession and a resident of Charana village. The injured is Sakra Baske (33).

Some unidentified bike-borne miscreants approached house of Badha’s in-laws located in Chatanisahi of the village, where he was residing along with her wife for last couple of days and hurled at least two bombs targeting the gate. While Badha died on the spot, Sakra lost one of her eyes in the explosion. The assailants fled from the spot immediately after the incident.

Jamda Police have rushed the injured to Rairangpur Sub-Divsional Hospital in critical condition and have started investigation.
