Man Jumps Into Mahanadi In Odisha, Yet To Be Traced

Jagatsinghpur: A man today jumped into the Mahanadi river near Tarapaur in the district. The identity of the man is yet to be established.

As per reports, the man reached the river bridge on a bicycle and dived into the river. Few eyewitnesses who were present on the spot immediately informed the police and Odisha Fire Service. Fire personnel have launched a rescue operation to trace the man.

Earlier on October 9, a man had jumped into Kathajodi river in Cuttack after having an altercation with his wife. The body of Debabrata Mohapatra was found on October 16 from the Devi River near Rahamba under Gobindpur police limits in the district.
