Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a man has been beaten to death at Manoharpur village under Bauripada gram panchayat in Keonjhar district late on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Bhagyadhar Ghana of the village. He was the former ward member.
Reportedly, Bhagyadhar was invited by four people for a feast to a secluded place near the village pond.
After he arrived at the spot, the four accused attacked him with iron rods while they were busy in the feast. As a result he lost his life on the spot.
On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and detained two accused while the other two managed to escape from the crime spot.
A manhunt has been initiated by the police to apprehend them.
