Man Held From Balasore Station For Black Marketing Of Railway Tickets

Balasore: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel today arrested a man from Balasore railway station on charges of black marketing of railway tickets.

According to sources, the RPF team raided the premise of the Balasore railway station after receiving reliable inputs regarding the illegal trade and apprehended the accused person.

The team also recovered unauthorised tickets worth Rs 2.3 lakh from him. “We have found tickets for months of July and August from his possession. Further investigation is continuing to ascertain the involvement of an organised gang,” said an RPF official.

Earlier on Thursday RPF of East Coast Railway (ECoR) had conducted a drive against illegal e-ticketing and touting activities and had conducted raids in Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Berhampur, Kantabanjhi, Rayagada in Odisha.
