Sundergarh: A man allegedly hacked his wife to death in an inebriated state at Nabarangpur village under Sadar police limits of Sundergarh district on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Niati.
Reportedly, Niati quarreled with her accused husband Raju Ekka after he brought another married woman to the house.
Following this, the matter had reached the police station and it was resolved.
However, another quarrel took place between the couple later in the night. Raju took an axe, hacked his wife in an inebriated state, and went to sleep.
Their son later informed the neighbors and they reported to the police. On getting the information, the police arrived at the spot, detained Raju, and initiated a probe into the matter.
