The incident that has shocked the locals has been reported from Kapasatikiri village under Bairi police limits in Badachana sub-division of Jajpur.
According to reports, there was an heated argument relating to certain family matter, when in a fit of rage, the man allegedly hacked his sister-in-law to death.
The woman died on the spot. The locals immediately informed the police. The Bairi police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for postmortem.
Latest available reports say that the brother-in-law has been absconding since the time of the crime. The police has launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
