Berhampur: Mystery shrouded the death of a man whose body was found lying under a culvert in Patapur area in Ganjam district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Buddhiram Moharana, a resident of Patharapunji village of Nayagarh district.
The incident came to light early in the morning after some locals spotted the body under the culvert located along Jagannathpur-Rengadi Main Road near Ramuni Chhak and informed the police. The deceased’s cycle was found parked on the culvert.
While police have seized the body for autopsy an investigation is underway to examine whether the deceased has committed suicide or somebody has killed him.
It is learnt that Buddhiram was living in Patapur area for the past few years to take part in a temple construction work.
