Balangir: Tension prevailed in Bangomunda police limits in Balangir district today morning after the body of a local found lying under a bridge near Phuguda Chhak under mysterious conditions.
The deceased has been identified as Khujanti Chhatria, a resident of Jorapada village of the same police limits.
As per the family members of the deceased, he went missing after leaving home in some work last night. Later a frantic search by them to find out Khujanti went in vain.
Khujanti was found dead under the bridge by some locals early today morning who called his family members.
Police reached the spot and found the deceased’s mobile phone and chappals lying scattered by the side of his body pointing at a possible foul play.
The body has been sent for autopsy and an investigation is underway in the case by the police.
