Chhatrapur: In yet another shameful incident, a 5-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in a village under Buguda Police limits in Ganjam’s Chhatrapur on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Jagdish Sahoo, has fled the village after committing the heinous crime.
According to reports, the matter came to light after the girl narrated her ordeal to family members after which they registered a complaint against the accused.
The police has initiated a probe in the incident and launched a manhunt to nab the culprit.
Meanwhile, the minor victim has been sent for medical examination.
