Angul: In an unfortunate incident, a man was killed after being crushed under the tree which he was cutting in Soubhyanagar Sahi of Talabeda village under Talcher police limits today.
The deceased has been identified as Srikant Behera (30), a resident of Kamarda village of Dhenkanal and a labourer by profession.
The mishap took place this morning soon after the victim went to fell a tree in a local’s house. During the trimming of a tree it suddenly snapped on the victim crushing him to death.
Local police rushed to the spot after getting intimation on the incident and seized the body for autopsy.
