Dhenkanal: A man died after being run over by a goods train near Shyamacharanpur in the district today. The deceased has been identified as Pratap Pradhan, a resident of Borapada village.
As per reports, Pradhan was crossing the rail ine when he was hit by a goods train. Pratap lost his both legs and was immediately rushed to the Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The father of the deceased, however, said that he was suffering from fits. “ We suspect him of having a seizure while crossing the railway tracks for which the train ran over him,” said the father.
