Balasore: In a shocking incident, a man was brutally thrashed to death by none other than his brother over monetary tiff in Bichitrapur village under Bhogarai police limits in the district last evening.
The deceased has been identified as Sambhu Dalai.
Sambhu and his younger brother Panchu who were into money lending in the village indulged in a verbal duel over some business related issue in the evening. As the argument escalated further, Panchu took out a cudgel and started attacking his elder brother mercilessly. The victim died on the spot.
Bhogarai Police reached the spot latter in the night and sent the body for autopsy. Later it arrested the accused from his house.
“We have arrested the accused involved in the case and his interrogation is one. He would be forwarded to court soon,” said Narendra Das, IIC, Bhogarai Police Station.
