Man crushed to death by speeding truck in Rayagada
A fish trader was crushed to death by a speeding container truck in front of Public Works Department guesthouse here on Tuesday.
Rayagada: A fish trader was crushed to death by a speeding container truck in front of Public Works Department guesthouse here on Tuesday.
As per sources, the deceased, Bocha Prakash Rao of Khadigula village, was selling fish by the roadside as per usual when an speeding container lost control and ran over him. Bocha lost his life on the spot in the accident. The Container truck was heading from Rourkela to Vishakhapatnam.
Following the accident, the driver has fled from the scene.
This incident has caused unrest in the area as the irate locals and the grief-stricken family members of Bocha have staged protest demanding compensation.
On being informed, the Rayagada police has reached the pot and investing the case.
