Anandpur: At least two persons sustained injuries and one among them turned critical later as two trucks crashed head-on at Dhakotha near National Highway-20 under Anandpur police limits in Keonjhar district today.
The critically injured person is Sarat Chandra Mohanty of Ramachandrapur area. The other victim is yet to be identified.
As per the report, an iron ore laden truck en-route to Anandpur was taking a right turn to reach a filling station near Dhakotha this morning when the crash took place. The driver of another truck which was travelling in the opposite direction reportedly lost control over the wheels and ended up hitting the iron ore laden truck leaving both the vehicles completely mangled.
Getting a tip-off on the accident Ghasipura Police rushed to the spot and sent both the victims to Anandpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Sarat was later shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack.
