Balangir: In an unfortunate incident, a man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife in Patnagarh of Balangir district on Thursday.
The deceased couple has been identified as Ghasi Taanla and Kunti.
Reportedly, Ghasi arrived at home in an inebriated state on Wednesday night following which a heated argument took place with his wife. Thereafter, Ghasi allegedly thrashed his wife with a sharped object in an enraged state of mind. As result, Kunti lost her life on the spot.
Later, Ghasi allegedly consumed poison and killed himself. His family members rushed him to a local hospital. However, the doctors pronounced him brought dead.
On getting the information, the local arrived at the spot and sent the body for an autopsy procedure. An investigation has been initiated into both the death cases.
