Baripada: A man has hacked his wife to death in Dolajodi village under Tiring police limits of Mayurbhanj district in Odisha over suspicion of extramarital affair.
The deceased has been identified as Deola Baske and the accused is identified as Budhan Baske.
Reportedly, the man, Budhan Baske, hacked his wife Deola to death with an axe last night, suspecting that she was having an affair with someone else. However, their son tried to intervene and save his mother, but to the despair, by then the mother was dead.
In anger, the man killed his wife and surrendered to Tiring Police of the district today.
Elaborating further on the heinous action, Budhan said the police that he found his wife talking to someone over a phone call late in the night, following which he got mad and killed her with an axe.
Police seized the blood-soaked body of the woman and sent for autopsy. Further investigation of the case is underway.
