Deogarh: Suspecting his wife of having an extramarital affair, one Shreebal Behera from Angul axed her to death.
The crime took place after a heated exchange of words between the couple at their daughter’s place in Deogarh. The deceased has been identified as Bhagabati Behera. She was a resident of Barakotia village under Khamar police limits in Angul district.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Shreebal along with his wife Bhagabati had visited their daughter and son-in-law’s house where he axed her to death over a suspected extramarital affair.
Meanwhile, Bhagabati’s husband Shreebal has been detained by police. Investigation in the matter is on.
