Major fire breaks out in Odisha’s Bargarh

Bhubaneswar: A massive fire broke out at the Hatpada daily market in Bargarh on Thursday. The incident occurred at around 10 p.m.

While the exact reason behind the fire is yet to be known, it is suspected that a short circuit might have caused the fire.

According to the information, the fire first broke out in a shop, and soon the fire spread to seven shops.

On being informed about the incident, fire brigades were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

While blowing out the fire, two gas cylinders inside a shop burst, and the fire started to spread even faster.

Fire staff and officers have been engaged in the firefight. After a few hours, the fire was completely extinguished.

Though nobody was injured due to the fire, property worth lakhs of rupees is stated to have been gutted following the mishap.
