Lunar Eclipse to be seen in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A partial lunar eclipse will take place tonight which will be visible in Odisha. The eclipse will start at about 9.20 p.m. and will continue till 1.20 a.m.

This will be the first properly visible lunar eclipse this year.

Deputy Director of Pathani Samanta Planetarium, Bhubaneswar, Dr .Subhendu Patnaik said the full moon will enter the Earth’s shadow in space and create a spectacular celestial phenomenon, which is commonly known as partial lunar eclipse.

The lunar eclipse will be visible from every place in India, Patnaik stated.  People in Odisha can see the moon-rise between 10.48 pm to 12 .50 am.

The partial lunar eclipse this time would be visible from the whole of Asia and Australia, as well as most places in Europe and Africa.
