Lucky Escape For Passenger Who Slipped While Boarding Train At Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: A 60-year-old man had a miraculous escape after he slipped down the platform while trying to board a moving train at Jharsuguda railway station today.

The passenger identified as Rakesh Talwar, a resident of Sambalpur was travelling from Howrah to Sambalpur in Samaleswari Express when he alighted from the train to have tea.

Talwar, however, started running to catch the train and later slipped while trying to catch the moving train. Moments later he slipped into the gap between the platform and the moving train. Though other passengers at the railway station tried to rescue him, they failed to do so as the train was moving.

Talwar was rescued by two personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) who also helped him boarding the train.
