Lt General Chandi Prasad Mohanty Arrives At Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Army Officer from Odisha Lt General Chandi Prasad Mohanty arrived at Bhubaneswar today after being elected as the Vice-Chief of Indian Army on Monday. He was greeted by the 120 Battalion upon his arrival at the Bhubaneswar airport.

According to reports, Lt General directly reached at 120 Battalion Bhubaneswar to attend a special programme. He will be attending a function organised at the Sainik School tomorrow.

Lt. General Mohanty will be the first Odia to take charge as the Vice Chief of Indian Army.

After the retirement of Lt. General S.K.Saini on January 31, General Chandi Prasad Mohanty will be taking over as the 42nd Vice Chief of Indian Army. He will be the first Odia to become the Vice Chief of Army Staff, the second-highest ranking officer of the Indian Army.
