Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has informed that under influence of the cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea, a Low-Pressure area is likely to form over the same region around May 6.
Reportedly, the weather department further added that it is very likely to move northwestwards and intensify gradually into a Depression during the subsequent 48 hours.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra has mentioned that there is no clear picture of the cyclone yet. However, the intensity of the cyclonic circulation will get more marked in the next three days.
It is to be noted that a cyclonic circulation has formed over South Andaman Sea and its neighborhood at 5.30 am and extended up to mid-tropospheric levels, informed Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
A low-pressure area will be formed with the effect of the possible cyclonic circulation on May 6 which is likely to become more marked during the subsequent 24 hours.
