Low Pressure In Bay Of Bengal To Trigger Heavy Rain In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here has predicted heavy rain in Odisha. As per the forecast as many as 10 districts in the state is to receive heavy rain fall from in between June 28 and 30, under the influence of a low-pressure system over north Bay of Bengal.

According to a bulletin released by the MeT department, heavy rain fall is very likely to occur at one or two places in 10 districts. These are Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur and Sundergarh.

Furthermore, light to moderate rain fall will be experienced at a few places. Moderate rain fall will prevail in the districts of Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Rayagada, as well as in a few places in interior and coastal Odisha on June 28.
