Low Pressure Forms Over BoB, Yellow warning issued for 10 districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meterological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Sunday has issued yellow warning to ten districts of Odisha due to low pressure formed in Bay of Bengal over Northwest adjoining West-central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh ­and south Odisha coasts.

Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur in some places in southern and coastal belt of the State in the next 24 hours. “Heavy rain is likely to occur in the districts of Koraput, Nuapada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Sundergarh and Nabarangpur,” said IMD.

People in these districts have been advised to stay indoors or move to safer locations, if such weather conditions prevail.
