Low pressure area likely to form over Bay Of Bengal, Rain expected in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood around November 9, informed Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

According to the Global Forecast System (GFS) model, it will cross the coast of Andhra Pradesh. However, it is expected that spell of rain is expected in Odisha due to this low pressure.

Earlier, low pressure areas have been creating in the eastern Bay of Bengal and adjoining the northern Bay of Bengal.

Although there was no impact of the earlier low pressure on the State, heavy rains lashed in parts of southern Odisha and also affected Tamil Nadu.

As a result, some parts of southern Odisha received light to moderate rainfall on October 28.
