Low pressure area likely over Odisha & neighbourhood in next 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: A Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over north Odisha and its neighbourhood in the next 24 hours, informed Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

The weather department has also informed that the cyclonic circulation has lied over Bangladesh and its neighbourhood extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height. A warning has also been issued for heavy rainfall in the State till July 7.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning:

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal and Angul.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Boudh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Cuttack, Malurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh and Balasore.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Angul.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Sonepur, Balangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Sundergarh, Khurda, Boudh, Puri, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Nayagarh .
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khurda, Sonepur, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Cuttack, Sonepur, Boudh, Jajpur and Deogarh.

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada.
