Puri: Lord Jagannath is the God of the whole world as well as Odisha. He gets the work done as He wishes, said Puri Gajapati Maharaj Dibya Singh Dev during a meeting in Puri.
The Gajapati Maharaj was speaking at the 11th general meeting of the Shree Jagannath Chetana Gabesana Pratisthan, Puri on Sunday.
“Since the formation of the Utkal Pradesh in 1936, and later after independence Odisha government took up charge of Puri’s Lord Jagannath temple into its hand in 1960 after lack of discipline witnessed. And now a massive plan to develop Puri is underway,” the Gajapati told the media on Monday.
“We all know that the former Chief Minister Janaki Ballav Patnaik was a learned person and he had deep knowledge about the Jagannath culture. But how come Naveen babu (Chief Minister of Odisha) could think of such activities? But, it is not a surprise. Because, it is the Lord Himself who gets His works done as He wishes. And how He will get it done is up to Him,” the Gajapati Maharaj said.
It is worthy to mention that to ensure the safety and security as well as for the overall development of Puri and the Shrimandira, present Odisha Government has undertaken a huge drive to make the city a world heritage.
