Jajpur: Putting a question mark on the safety and security of cash kiosks, miscreants decamped with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Chandikhol area in jajpur district last night.
The teller machine loot came to fore this morning after some customers arrived at the unit operated by HDFC Bank and found it missing. They immediately called up police and reported the matter.
Dharmasala Police accompanied by bank staff rushed to the spot and carried out the preliminary probe immediately.
While efforts are on to catch the looters, who are suspected to have taken away the ATM machine by loading on a vehicle, it was carrying only Rs 12500 at the time of loot, informed the concerned bank staff.
