Khurda: A shocking incident took place near Banpur overbridge on national highway no. 16 in Khurda district of Odisha after a petrol tanker turned turtle this evening.
The oil tanker overturned at 6.30 PM while it was going to Berhampur from Khurda. However, no one was injured following the road accident, said sources.
However, shockingly a huge number of people were seen looting whatever petrol was overflowing from the fuel tanker, filling jerry cans and bottles.
On being informed, a team of cops from Balugaon and Banpur Police Station reached the spot and took control of the situation.
