Dhenkanal: Two persons were killed in separate incidents after being struck by lightning in Kamakhyanagar of the district on Thursday evening.
The victims were working in the paddy fields located under Kamakhyanagar police limits when lightning struck, police said.
The deceased, both men, were identified as Antaryami Mallik of Hatuar village and Mangaraj Behera of Bedhapal village.
They were rushed to the sub-divisional hospital at Kamakhyanagar where both of them were declared ‘brought dead’ by the doctors. An unnatural death case has been registered by the police in this connection.
