LGBTQA community holds pride march in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, (questioning), intersex, asexual, and (agender)) community held a pride march here on Sunday to celebrate pride month.

Waving rainbow flags (symbol of their community) and placards calling for equal status in society, hundreds of members of LGBTQIA community and their supporters from Odisha and outside participated in the rally which started from Master Canteen square and ended at the Ram Mandir square here.

The members of LGBTQIA plus community were seen dancing down the road, creating a carnival-like atmosphere and raising slogans in support of their demands.

It is to be noted here that the LGBTQIA plus community celebrates the month of June as pride month every year.

    The reporters should get some education. Just as father’s days are not just celebrated by all fathers, the pride is not celebrated by just LGBT community.
    The world celebrates it.
    Most of the attendees in the parade may not be gays. Just as most people celebrating father’s day are not fathers
