Balangir: People living in Badamal area of the district were left in a state of panic again last night after a leopard was spotted roaming inside Titlagarh Ordnance Factory.
The incident came to light at around 10 pm in the night after some youths filmed the tiger on their mobile phones and informed the factory authorities.
In the video which was later sent to various media organisations, the leopard was seen moving freely both inside the factory and on the road passing through the nearby Barni forest.
In their reaction on the leopard incursion, the factory authorities informed that they are aware of the incident and probing it.
Notably, in a similar incident on December 14 last year, a video featuring a leopard roaming at Saintala near the ordnance factory had gone viral. The video had been shot by a bystander. The incident created an atmosphere of panic among the locals in the area at that time.
