Chhatrapur: Odisha BJP spokesperson Golak Mohapatra, who found himself in the soup in Chhatrapur Councillor Laxmidutta Pradhan murder case of 2017 is likely to appear before police today.
Pradhan, against whom police slapped a notice for appearance along with the party general secretary Bhrugu Buxipatra on January 30. He had already been quizzed by Chhatrapur Police in connection with his alleged link with one accused in the case on Nov 1, 2017.
Police have so far arrested at least 18 persons in the Laxmidutta murder case and filed the charge sheet, while few others are still at large.
On September 16, 2017, the slain Councillor was hacked to death with swords in front of his home on September 16, 2017. Two held accused in the case have revealed before the police that Mohapatra had facilitated their stay in Dehradun after the crime.
