Last rites of BJD leader Bed Prakash Agarwalla performed

Bhubaneswar: The last rites of BJD leader Bed Prakash Agarwalla was performed on Saturday at Swargadwara in Puri. His son Sanjay Agarwalla performed the last rites.

Before last rites, he was taken to Kendrapada’s Madhial, which is his birthplace. A wave of grief and sadness had gripped the entire area.

Agarwalla began his political career Councillor in Kendrapada Municipality. He has contested and won four times from Kendrapada and two times from Patakura Assembly constituencies. He has been loyal to BJD and had handled departments such as Finance, Parliamentary affairs, Food supply, and Commerce and Transport for BJD stalwart Biju Patnaik.

For the current elections, Bed Prakash Agarwalla was the appointed chairperson for the party’s manifesto committee. He was also given the ticket for Patakura assembly constituency, who standing MLA was Agarwalla himself.
