Malkangiri: The lady teacher of Upgraded Government High School at MPV-65 in Tigal panchayat under Kalimela block in Malkangiri district who thrashed her male colleague inside the school premises recently has been suspended.
Malkangiri District Education Officer (DEO) Manas Jena informed that the woman teacher, who has been identified as Ela Sen and had assaulted her colleague assistant teacher Samrat Behera, has been suspended.
Apart from Ela Sen, another assistant teacher named Anil Biswas also has been suspended for recording the video and making it viral, said the DEO.
He further informed that assistant teacher Samrat Behera has been transferred along with the headmaster of the school.
It is to be noted here that a video of Ela Sen thrashing Behera inside the school premises in the presence of other colleagues including the headmaster had gone viral, following which the District Education Officer took the disciplinary action against the teachers.
