Lady RI attacked inside office in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: The Revenue Inspector (RI) of Anandapur in Keonjhar district has been attacked inside her office by villagers on Monday.

The injured Revenue Inspector has been identified as Seema Simantini Sahu. She has been hospitalised after being attacked today.

Reportedly, Sahu was inside her office today when a Gobind Jena of Bangidi village broke forcefully into the room attacked her with a sharp weapon.

She was immediately rescued by her staff members after listening to her loud screams and rushed to Anandapur Sub-Divisional Hospital and informed the local police.

On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and Gobind was detained. During the questioning, Gobind confessed that he attacked the lady RI over some land dispute.

Thereafter Anandapur Sub-Collector also arrived at the spot demanded firm action against the accused.
