Kunduli Gang Rape survivor returns home

Koraput: In a big relief for the family members of the Kunduli gang rape survivor who was discharged from SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack yesterday, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of Koraput district handed her over to them here on Tuesday.
According to CWC member Pratima Rath, the family members were allowed to take the minor gang rape victim after they submitted a written assurance. As per the conditional permission, the survivor to stay at home and cannot leave Koraput without permission of the CWC.
The ninth class student was gang raped on October 10 while returning from Kunduli daily market allegedly by a group of men dressed like central force jawans.
She was first rushed to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College & Hospital in Koraput and remained there under treatment for few days before being discharged. She was then put in a shelter home. However, she was again admitted to SCB Medical College & Hospital on November 19 after her health condition deteriorated.
