Bhubaneswar: Protesting the alleged gang rape of Kunduli’s minor girl who committed suicide on January 22, members of Odisha BJP Mahila Morcha ransacked the office of the State Commission for Women (SCW) here on Thursday. They demanded the probe report to be made public.

The women activists of the saffron party, despite resistance by the police, barged into Commission Chairperson Lopamudra Baxipatra’s chamber and vandalised window panes, pillaged the notice boards and affixed pamphlets.

Accusing Baxipatra of acting at the behest of the ruling BJD, the agitators also hung bangles on the wall and offered bangles to the SCW staffers as a mark of protest.

The class ninth tribal girl was allegedly raped by four men in uniform in Kunduli of Koraput district on October 10, 2017.
